My New and Improved Sewing Room

This little room used to be my office when I was doing the kind of school where you spend most of your life studying. Over the past couple of months it’s morphed into a sewing room of sorts, so now that I’m in my clinical rotations I took the plunge and went 100% sewing room.

I spent an obscene amount of time trying to find a cutting table solution that I could afford and was just about ready to settle for a cheap folding banquet table, when I stumbled upon this gem of brilliance from Brooke over at Custom Style. So I went to IKEA and bought eight $7.99 Lack tables and voila! My roommate will be so happy that I won’t keep taking over the dining room floor to cut fabric.

And of course, the machines:

Thanks so much to Brooke for having awesome ideas and sharing them on the internet so I can steal them :-)

  1. It looks like a great workspace (with wonderful windows too)! I’m so glad you found my ideas useful and were able to adapt them for your own room! =)

(I had the same problem with my projects taking over the floorspace in the living room before I built my table. )
